A visit from Mrs. Dentman, who works with BioVision Seed Labs. She showed the children different seeds and shared how they grow. Children played with the seeds and enjoyed feeling the textures. They learnt that:-

- plants need  sunshine and water to grow;

-  all seeds come from flowers.

- foods come from seeds, e.g., the canola seed gives us margarine and canola oil.

Seeds are tested in the lab to find out if it is a good crop. From one hundred seeds, if one seed dies in the lab, then the analysts know that the same result will occur on the farm. To be considered a successful crop, all the seeds need to grow.

Here are some pictures.
