Pinata Fun

A second rainy day activity (June 11, 2012) that the children explored was the piñata.

Staff filled up the piñata with paper and candies and the children took turns hitting the piñata with a broom stick so that it would split open and goodies would fall out. A lot of excitement and laughter was shared as the children counted down each other’s turn with the piñata and the broom stick. The pinata finally split open after several tries by each child, and candies were picked up for the children to enjoy at home.

It was a lesson well learnt as the children had heard the story about the value of patience. They demonstrated their learning by standing in line, counting down three turns for each child and not consuming their treat immediately.
