Visit to Good Sheppards Residence

The out-of-school care children were busy creating a project that we wanted to share with the residents of the Good Sheppards Home – a retirement home.

They created little booklets that they wanted to share with the residents. Children drew pictures, cut and pasted and wrote little stories which they read and gifted to the residents. They sang a few songs and danced  creating joy and happiness for the residents.

It was a good experience for them to see the aging process and a couple of the children commented that they like being young and mobile. Empathy for the residents and a lesson about human frailty will stay with them.
