Last week Tawa kids were busy working bees creating very special crafts for the best deserving man in their lives – DAD, of course.

Toddlers had a discussion about  their favourite activity with dad. Everybody had something to share and  staff took time to write each child’s comments. At the end of the day, at pick-up time many parents were overwhelmed with emotions as they read their child’s input while others chuckled and said, “well I never knew that this was so special”. Children created cards and a tie for this special day.

Preschoolers created a “shirt” card and tie for dad which was appreciated by the parents.  Each child picked their dad’s favourite color and put this colored stickers on the tie. They also learnt special songs and enjoyed stories about dad.

The Out-of-School Care children were excited to create a pencil holder from recyclable materials and a card.

We hope all you dad’s had a very happy and safe Father’s Day.
