Visit to Sheppard's Care Centre!!

A Thoughtful Week for the Out-of-School Care kids

Last Wednesday afternoon, the kids from the playroom visited the Sheppard’s Care Centre to spend time with the residents in care.

Children had created cards and written stories about themselves which they shared with many residents. They also sang songs and performed a dance, which touched the residents deeply and made their day.

It was good for both the residents and the children to have this inter generational bonding. Many children do not have grandparents in their lives and many of our older generation do not have the young visiting them. We feel this experience had great impact on the children and they talk about the conversations they enjoyed sharing with the “grandpas and grandmas”.
