Making Falooda - Yummy!

The Out-of-School Care children were involved in making Falooda, a delicious Indian/Pakistani beverage which they enjoyed for snack on a warm, winter afternoon.
Children helped measure milk, rose water, jell,  takhmaria (basil seeds) and topped it with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
Children enjoyed seeing the color of the rose water, which is red in color, change to pink when milk was added to it. Science is always fascinating, isn’t it?
Tasting the rose water and basil seeds was fun and a first time experience for all the children, and many of them wanted the recipe to make this beverage at home to share with the family.
Oooh, wish we could have Falooda everyday, was the sentiment heard through the room.
