AN RCMP OFFICER VISITS TAWA FRIENDS

Sergeant Clayton Wilburn who works with the K Division of the RCMP visited the crew at Tawa and gave us a great presentation on safety.
Tawa Out-of-School and preschoolers were excited to see an officer in full uniform and they wanted to know about his “toys”. He showed us his whistle, telephone and the magic stick (the baton) and he brought over some cool posters. The crew learned about personal and street safety.
Sergeant Wilburn was impressed with the children’s knowledge about street signs and safety information. The gang was equally impressed with his handcuffs and baton.
Certainly a cool afternoon spent with an impressive officer!
