During the last week of school holidays, the Out-of-School Care and kindergarten children walked to the Grey Nuns Hospital so that they could put on a play, and did three dance performances to cheer up the Stroke/Geriatrics Rehabilitation patients, staff and visitors.
Children enjoyed the visit and found it rewarding as they noticed everybody smiling and cheering them on.
This is an exceptional opportunity for the Tawa gang to build positive inter-generational experiences that they treasure and share with their parents and the other staff members at the Center. Surely, this group of children will grow up to be empathetic and compassionate for our seniors.
